Project: New Look Profile Pages
After 18 years, online art community DeviantArt was due a revamp. Following its acquisition by Wix,
a dream team of experts from both companies combined forces to bring the site artfully into the new social media landscape. As the sole UX writer on the team, I played a large role in this process.
DeviantArt's profile pages have always allowed users to display both their art and their individuality.
It was important that the new look profile pages not only retained and improved personalisation capabilities, but also let users easily experiment with the features available.
The UX text here had to guide users around their revamped profile, and encourage them to give new features a try for themselves.
